An example is from HBaseLookupRowEncoder:
{code}
            int valIdx = Integer.valueOf(Bytes.toString(qualifier));
{code}
valueOf returns an Integer object which would be unboxed and assigned to valIdx.

Integer.parseInt() should be used instead.
