Synchri\onized and FileAppender

Hi.. I have a problem with the FileAppender of log4j.
When i try to log something with a FileAppender in a Synchronized java method, 
log4j do not log anything. I'm fairly sure that the problem is in the 
Synchronization, because if I delete the Synchronized keyword the logging 
work fine. This problem is notexistent with a ConsoleAppender.
