tomcat.conf or tomcat-apache.conf ???

which do I include in my httpd.conf?

according to the tomcat user guide, "Most of the time
you don't need to do anything but include
this file (appending "Include
TOMCAT_HOME/conf/tomcat-apache.conf") in your
httpd.conf."

but then when I look in tomcat.conf, the first section
of comments says "# Note: this file should be appended
or included into your httpd.conf"

so which is it? and what's the difference between
these two config files anyway? they seem very
similar.

thanks,
michael

Re: tomcat.conf or tomcat-apache.conf ???

Posted by Réseune <in...@reseune.fr>.
i include a file "tomcat.conf" in my httpd.conf (with "include" directive).
it's the same file than in jakarta forlder without servlet mount.
but, i have a problem with servlet mount: i must mount root to pass jsp to
tomcat.

tomcat-apache.conf is rebuilt every tomcat start. so i prefer a new file to
use the same config every start.

of course, you need to configure the tomcat server as well.

    Cordialement.
