Thanks for a patch, I did not even know such a Test property exists. 
I'm not sure though we should apply it, I've just updated these two tests, removed the hardcoded client timeouts from some of the tests (I use them to debug the server code while the test is in progress). The hangs might be pointing to a real issue, hopefully a test one, say the the test server hangs itself and the client waits indefinitely...
Can you please update the code with the latest commit, and check the tests again, I expect that you will start getting some failures instead...
