Good point. `Factory` might be too generic but yes we can introduce a similar option for `DecodingFormat` and `EncodingFormat`. But we have to think this though because from the current method signature we cannot derive the format for discovery. I guess we have to discuss the signature again here. An alternative could also be that a format is always mutable.
