Roadmap for Next Version of Tapestry

Hello Mr Lewis Ship,

I working for Atos Worldline<http://www.atosworldline.com/index.htm> in Lille France.

I suppose that after your training curse in Aachen with our collegues from Germany,

you know that Tapestry 5 is The Framework recommended by Atos Worldline

Currently, we are giving training, support and we build services with Tapestry 5.For this reason, some colleagues of Atos Origin ask us some questions about the future of Tapestry.

Many people would be interesting in your vision of the future for Tapestry.

So if you allow me to ask you a question, I would ask :

What do you have in mind for roadmap for 5.3?

- Portlet integration

- Html5

- spring webflow

- more documentation

- more third party library

Best Regards

François

Hm. I've found that the more I commit to in a release or roadmap, the less
actually gets done.

My particular focuses for the next release or two:

- JS abstraction layer and other improvements
- Remove some older deprecated code
- Continue working to remove Javassist (may take a couple of releases)
- Some IoC improvements
- More add-on libraries and components (some as tapx projects, possibly)
- Keep documentation improving
- Really keep to a six-month iteration, if not better

I think some of the other items on your shopping list, such as Portlets and
HTML5, will occur at some point as well.
