John Temple commented on FLEX-33423:
------------------------------------

This issue is marked Resolved with a fix in 4.12.1; however, I can still reproduce the failure using Adobe Flex SDK 4.14.1. Did the fix get stuck in limbo waiting for verification? What is the next step? (I'm new to JIRA)

> If maxChars is 6, usually we can not input 7 chars.
> However, when you set "Insert" mode, we can input 7 chars.
> In mx:TextInput which uses flash.text.TextField class, this does not happen.
