choosing multiple workspace

Hi,
I want to ask the opinions of jackrabbit and JCR compliant system users
about when to go for multiple workspace.
The confusion crops up from the fact htat we can potentially use a single
workspace and achieve what we want instead of using multiple workspaces.

What should be the criteria I should be using when choosing to go for a new
workspace. ?
