The bottom endnote (9) goes beyond bottom margin, instead of onto next page. No
next page created.
The same problems occurs with footnotes placed at end of document instead of at
end of page ... footnotes just run off the bottom beyond the margin

Example A5 document without problem of endnotes extending beyond bottom boarder
In this A5 document I started fresh from format A5, so no problem.
Also, if you do reduce size from A4 to A5 you must do this not only for all
applied styles, but also for Standard page style, even if you do not use the
Standard page style in your document.

My document is in A5 format. If I change the page layout of the endnotes from
A5 to A4 the cut-off endnotes are there again! The problem seems affect only
the bottom margin, the top, left and right margins are respected.

Example A5 document with endnotes going beyond bottom margin
In this document, first set to A4 then reduced to A5 the endnotes go beyond
bottom boarder if the endnote page style is also set from A4 to A5

ok the problem is that you don't use right format.
Then you says as previous comment, choose A5.

I seem to have found a solution: My document consists of A5 pages, but the
Standard page (which I don't use) is A4. If I change this too to A5 then things
work!!

Please try this: Enable footer on the page style of the endnotes and set a
fixed spacing and height. Does that fix the wrong calculated page area? If yes,
then it might stay fixed after disabling footer.
