Svn problem: Error writing base64 data: Software caused connection abort

Hi,

    We just had an odd error with subversion. When I tried to do a
checkout or update on the machine hosting the subversion server -
through apache/ssl - it would hang. The ssl error log had reported
this error:

==> ssl_error_log <==
[Wed Sep 07 11:05:22 2005] [error] [client 10.95.76.217] Provider
encountered an error while streaming a REPORT response. [500, #0]
[Wed Sep 07 11:05:22 2005] [error] [client 10.95.76.217] A failure
occurred while driving the update report editor [500, #103]
[Wed Sep 07 11:05:22 2005] [error] [client 10.95.76.217] Error writing
base64 data: Software caused connection abort [500, #103]

    I could retrieve files from subversion from another machine, using
https, and from the subversion server machine using a file url.
Restarting apache didn't fix it, but rebooting the server did.

    Has anyone seen this before? If so, what is the
problem/solution? Does anyone have tips on how to debug it if it
happens again?

    Thanks,   Beth
