[jira] [Commented] (AMBARI-3555) Reassign Master (namenode HA): HDFS service check fails when standby namenode is stopped before wizard

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-3555?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13800316#comment-13800316 ]

Jaimin D Jetly commented on AMBARI-3555:
----------------------------------------

The patch adds one more manual command in the manual step of the wizard: _"sudo su -l hdfs -c 'hdfs zkfc -formatZK' "_
This also removes stop namenode command from step-4 which was introduced as a requirement in AMBARI-3526.

> HDFS service check fails due to stale information preserved in zookeeper. We need to clear automatic failover information in zookeeper by adding a manual command. Also if this is done then we don't need to make sure that the namenode that is moved is in standby state by stopping namenode initially.
