[jira] [Created] (AMBARI-3933) ctrl^c during ambari-server setup "Initializing..." leaves postgres in bad state

Dmytro Shkvyra created AMBARI-3933:
--------------------------------------

Summary: ctrl^c during ambari-server setup "Initializing..." leaves postgres in bad state
                 Key: AMBARI-3933
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-3933
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: controller
    Affects Versions: 1.4.2
         Environment: Centos6 (not Ubuntu)
            Reporter: Dmytro Shkvyra
            Assignee: Dmytro Shkvyra
             Fix For: 1.4.3

1) Run ambari-server setup
2) Right in the beginning, during "Initializing..." press ctrl^c
3) setup cannot complete. Exits with postgres problem.
Need to delete postgres data directory and run service postgresql initdb to cleanup. This is not very intuitive to the user.
Really, should not initialize postgres unless user has decided to use postgres (i.e. not so early in the setup process). At minimum, a better error message is necessary.
