It looks like we want to do the following:

1. Remove the Hewlett-Packard copyrights from the individual source files.

2. Update the individual source files to have the proper Apache text if they don't have this already.

3. Create a NOTICES.txt file in the root (incubator-trafodion) directory, with the following text:

Apache Trafodion
Copyright 2015 The Apache Software Foundation

This product includes software developed at
The Apache Software Foundation (http://www.apache.org/).

In addition, this product includes software developed by Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.

4. Something probably needs to be done with banners in our command line interfaces. For example, sqlci at the moment has the following banner:

Trafodion Conversational Interface 1.2.0
(c) Copyright 2014 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP.

Will research this point and follow-up.
