[jira] [Created] (PYLUCENE-18) Version 3.6.0 lacks chagelog/readme

Dmitry Nezhevenko created PYLUCENE-18:
-----------------------------------------

             Summary: Version 3.6.0 lacks chagelog/readme
                 Key: PYLUCENE-18
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PYLUCENE-18
             Project: PyLucene
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Dmitry Nezhevenko
            Priority: Minor

Hi,

It looks like pylucene version 3.6.0 lacks CHANGES in tarball. Also README has followed content:
{code}
  Please see doc/documentation/readme.html
{code}
At the same there is no docs directory in tarball at all.

These files are important for linux distributions (like Debian) where they are usually installed to /usr/share/doc

------------------------------------

The beginning of the list of files in pylucene-3.6.0-2.tar.gz is shown below. CHANGES is in second position and is 6046 bytes in size. Which tar archive are you talking about ?

About the README and the lack of docs in tarball, you're right. The lucene website was changed and the 'forrest' site abandoned. The new site is in transition and its contents are no longer included in the tarball as before.
README should at least have a correct link to the docs on the site. That part of the bug is real.

Oops. Agreed. It was removed in my unpacked tree by mistake. So CHANGES is ok.

So only README part is valid
