   So, what I meant is you need to read the old FIFO state and preserve it and then turn off the FIFO and then restore the old state back. Sorry, I think I see it, you are doing it already and I was talking about `LIS2DW12_REG_FIFO_CTRL` register. So, fifo_ctrl is your preserved state and you restore it once self test is done. All good. Approving the PR.
