The problem was introduced in CAMEL-9431. It should be enough to not add the properties component in https://github.com/apache/camel/blob/master/components/camel-spring-boot/src/main/java/org/apache/camel/spring/boot/CamelAutoConfiguration.java#L132, because it is added later later in https://github.com/apache/camel/blob/master/camel-core/src/main/java/org/apache/camel/util/CamelContextHelper.java#L578
