That thread was about releasing a 0.8 plugin that depends on (at the
time) alpha code in core (the forrest.properties.xml). This code can be
considered beta now, it is in the 0.8 release, and some of the -dev
plugins use it. Furthermore, it is scheduled to be included in 0.9.
In addition, as part of the 0.8 release cycle we packaged and released a
0.8 version of the plugin without this commit. So the main reason for my
-1 on this has been removed (see thread above for discussion).
I'm happy to withdraw my -1 on the understanding that the version number
for that the minimum forrest version of the plugin becomes 0.9 as a
result of this change.
