   Heya,
   
   this issue for discussing the release of 7.0.0 now that #98 has landed.
   
   Open questions:
   
   - [ ] are there any other PRs we want to land?
   - [ ] are there any issues that don’t have a PR yet, but should be fixed?
   - [ ] are we maintaining 6.x and 7.x in parallel, or do we suggest folks move up to 7.x asap? Are there any BC break considerations to be made?
   - [ ] should we release 7.0.0 on the `next` dist-tag for a while before making it latest? or should we go straight to `latest`?
