Comments in HBase shell

Hi,


I would like execute a comment line in HBase shell; But I couldn't find the syntax for the same; Can any one please tell how can I execute a ‘comment’ in HBase shell?

So to conclude this, ending with '*' is ok. It is not a issue.

I don't see any problem when the prompt ends with ‘*’ 


The next command ‘list’ worked fine and it ended with correct prompt ‘hbase(main):016:0>’

What is the problem you see when the prompt ends with '*' ?

Instead of ‘>’ I got ‘*’ in prompt; Is this the behaviour or issue in HBase shell?
