[jira] [Created] (LOG4J2-2748) Add an alternative to FixedDateFormat.ISO8601_PERIOD with microsecond precision

Carter Kozak created LOG4J2-2748:
------------------------------------

Summary: Add an alternative to FixedDateFormat.ISO8601_PERIOD with microsecond precision
                 Key: LOG4J2-2748
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4J2-2748
             Project: Log4j 2
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Pattern Converters
    Affects Versions: 2.13.0
            Reporter: Carter Kozak
             Fix For: 2.13.1

FixedDateFormat.ISO8601_PERIOD is fantastic for one of my uses, as another system expects dates in the same format, but on java 9+ it would be helpful to have microsecond support for platforms which support it to retain order between events that occur in quick succession.
