Submissions related to the Hadoop stack or any other part of the Apache
software portfolio are welcome -and not just limited to internal details by
those of us writing bits of it. Talks on how you applied the technology,
integrated it with other systems, and built large scale applications are
equally welcome.

If you haven't done one before, don't be afraid to ask for a quick review
of the submission before you commit it -stick it up online on google doc,
your project or similar and then ask for some feedback. My recommendation:
make the talk sound interesting, the kind of thing you'd want to attend if
you read the title and a covering sentence in the list of talks, even if
you'd never heard of the project before.

Do try and submit a talk if you can -and if not, or if your talk isn't
accepted- still put the dates in your calendar and plan to attend. For
anyone in the region, this is your chance to spend time with the people who
know the insides of the hadoop stack, from the YARN level to log4j and the
build tooling.
