Change organizer in Meetup.com

Hi all,

I have been managing the Apache Calcite group on meetup.com [1] for
the past few years but I would like to step down and transfer the
ownership of the group.

Would someone from the PMC be willing to take over the management of
the group and the payment of the subscription?

I feel that we could still organize Calcite meetups and events without
strictly relying on the Meetup platform so we could also consider
shutting it down.

Best,
Stamatis

It seems that there is no strong desire to continue using Meetup.com
and that is perfectly fine with me. I cancelled the Meetup
subscription today so it is very likely that the group will close in
the next few weeks.

I am all in favor of starting the talks for the next meetup so I will
start a new thread immediately.

Best,
Stamatis

Would this be more concrete if we were to start organizing the next meetup?

Are we due for a meetup in a timezone that’s good for China / Australia?

Thanks Stamatis for taking care of this all this time.
I don't know Luma, but I think that for our requirements probably a free
tool might be enough, so maybe we should give it a try.
