Handling raw materials while manufacturing for others
Hello Community,
If you're manufacturing for others with their own materials while using
other cost components - Labor, FOH, etc - from yours, how their materials
will be registered? I mean, this material is not obtained via purchasing?
Regards,
Emad

Hi Emad,
When you produce something using customer's materials you don’t manufacture (in typical understanding), you do service. And sell service.
It means you don’t put raw materials and finished goos into warehouse (in most caseses, there are some exemptions).
Regards/Pozdrawiam

Hello Pierre,
Do you think such creation for Inventory Item should create a Shipment
Receipt accounting transaction, or not relevant in this case?

Emad
