                 Key: CB-9571
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-9571
             Project: Apache Cordova
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Android, iOS
Environment: macosx 10.10.2, xcode 6.4, cordova 4.0.0 (tried newer versions too)
            Reporter: Ali Efe

Hi everyone,
I am working on an app which will mainly deal with contact list. One bug I found and seems like it was probably around all the time is about save method. According to documentation contacts.save method should update an existing contact if the current contact's id matching with any existing contact. The problem I am having is, even though my contact's id is actually matching with an existing contact's id device is not updating, instead it duplicates this contact with a new id. For contact id I have tried to use string or integer (documentation says it is a string).. nothing helps.. I hope you guys can help me... I can go with alternative solution like use find, if not exists then save but this would increase process load as you know..

I have same issue on both IOS and Android platform. haven't tested others.

I searched on net but couldn't find anything helps.
Thank you

Ali
