mod_jserv.so crash

Recently, I get the following warning in the error log.
[Tue Apr 24 11:21:33 2001] [warn] Loaded DSO libexec/mod_jserv.so uses
plain Apa
che 1.3 API, this module might crash under EAPI! (please recompile it
with -DEAP
I)

Does it mean I need to recompile mod_jserv.so??  What is the impact if I
still
use the old one??  Why it will crash?? BTW, what is EAPI? (extended
API?)
