Semi-related but not quite, as per [https://lucene.apache.org/solr/guide/8_6/config-api.html#retrieving-the-config] the {{indexConfig}} section can be inspected but when doing so the {{metrics}} content does not appear to be correctly reflected e.g.

       <majorMergeDocs>16</majorMergeDocs>
       <int name="majorMergeDocs">8</int>
       <bool name="merge">true</bool>
       <bool name="mergeDetails">false</bool>
     </metrics>
{code}

solrconfig.xml content is returned as

      "metrics":{
        "":{},
        "majorMergeDocs":8,
        "merge":true,
        "mergeDetails":false}
{code}

during inspection.
