Mesos-slave fails to start with --default_role
mesos version: 1.1.0-2.0.107.ubuntu1404
if i try to start mesos-slave with default_role or specify resources explicitly via resources: cpus(role):xxx,mem(role):yyy the mesos-slave dies. Its not logging anything either. Just silent death.
Can someone help me to explain this behaviour and/or point out some verbose logging flags that would force mesos-slave to log *why* its dying?

(i think ive reached the pinnacle of dumb. This is a good sign to go home and finish the working day)
Actually your response was very helpful - i stopped mashing the restart button of mesos-slave service and actually instead invoked it via /usr/sbin/mesos-slave [opts]
It then told me that i have: Incompatible agent info detected.
and i need to clear the /var/lib/mesos/meta/slaves/latest
