sfkeller opened a new issue #6902: Geocode location data
URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-superset/issues/6902
Feature (I have checked the issue tracker for the same issue and I haven't found one similar):
Geocode location data similar to Fusion Tables.

Usually the description is an address, complete with city, state, zipcode or postcode all combined in one column. Geocoding in Fusion Tables is similar to pasting a description of a location into Google Maps.

There are existing geocoding sw and services. IMO they shoul be based in OpenStreetMap, like Photon [2] (Mapbox' has also a geocoder with different license).
