[jira] Created: (AXIS2-2603) Java2WSDL does not generate hierarchy
if father class is not present in any service operation
Java2WSDL does not generate hierarchy if father class is not present in any service operation
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: AXIS2-2603
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS2-2603
Project: Axis 2.0 (Axis2)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: codegen
Affects Versions: 1.2
Environment: Windows XP SP2, Java 1.5.0-11, Eclipse plugin generator of Axis2 1.2
Reporter: Jorge Fernández
When I have a hierarchy, JAVA2WSDL generates children correctly (as extension) but it doesn't generate the father if the father is not present as a parameter or return in the API from which I generate the WSDL.

Jarek Kucypera commented on AXIS2-2603:
---------------------------------------
This bug also shows up in pojo deployment, you can't even try -xc there, can you ?
This is specially important if any service method throws a non-trivial exception (not the java.lang.Exception itsself), as then inheritance is really a must.

Actually, I wasn't using JAVA2WSDL but Eclipse plugin.

---------------------------------------
You could use -xc as workaround, but this option seems not to work correctly, see 2779 (it seems there can be only one class specified, so you can't cover inheritance chains with more than two classes).
