Can i modify the file

hi,
i am running Slide-1.0.16 with default domain configuration. My problem is 
as follows:
I kept a word file into slide.
I login on port 8081 as root.
When i click on the file link, MS Word is started and open the file.

Now i want to modify the file and upload the file. but the file is opend as 
a read only mode. what should i do to save the file back to slide from MS 
Word.As a repository i am using MySQL database.
