resolver timeouts - IVY-735

What do You think about IVY-735 improvement issue
(https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IVY-735)? It is about possibility to
provide 'timeout' parameter for any resolver.

If resolver is "not responding" it should fail after that timeout (seconds,
miliseconds). It will be very usefull for creating simple mirroring schemas
- with chain resolvers, dual resolvers and standard ant mechanisms.

But what are the chances to implement it in early future?

I agree this would be very useful, but I don't know if we will have time to
implement this soon. The best way to get it done is to do it yourself, and
submit a patch.
