Two files exist in our repository that match patterns in our .gitignore file

# *.classpath* - this file should probably just be removed
# *project/plugins.sbt* - this file should definiately not be removed. The .gitignore file contains a {{*.sbt}} pattern which is intended to allow people to add custom .sbt files to customize the daffodil build without making changes to existing files. We should proably keep this capability. We already have a {{!build.sbt}} so that file isn't ignored. We probably also want to add a {{~project/plugins.sbt}} or something similar as well.
