Tomcat, SOAP and Connection Pools

Hi,

I am using Tomcat and recently switched to the Apache version of
SOAP after starting with the IBM version. After changing some files
everything is working fine again.

Now i like to use an connection pool to an MySQL database. 
Could someone give me an hint of how i should do that?
The question is how i do get access to the instance of the pool from
an SOAP handler routine.
