   Merged, thanks. Turns out this change was already made on the GROOVY_3_0_X branch earlier in the week (commit: f7d67adab) and for master I adjusted to stick with a SNAPSHOT version of Spock until such time as a non-snapshot version of Spock supports Groovy 4. Thanks again!
