Initial code commit

Folks:

It sounds like the our svn repo will be up and running soon (if not
already). I have a mvn'ized version of mrunit on github. Aaron and Garrett
pointed out that I swiped an old version of the code when I committed it to
gh. I have since brought it up to speed with the latest from Hadoop contrib
(although I may not have pushed it yet). I would propose we commit this
version (mostly so I don't have to do the work again). Thoughts?

Re mrunit svn it's setup and all committers/mentors with accounts have
been granted karma.

Agree regarding "svn move", perhaps Nigel could do this given he's
both a mentor and active on hadoop. (also a note to the hadoop
folks...)

Nigel?

If your github repo is really up to speed, then all you need to do is
git-format-patch and then apply in series on the svn side :)

It would be better if we could grab it from the hadoop source tree and just
use 'svn mv'; then it preserves the previous commit history...

You looked at this? http://wiki.apache.org/general/GitAtApache
also git.apache.org

I personally use git for every day, svn for commits.

I'm an SVN nut so I wouldn't know ;)

I've brought over the code from (trunk of) hadoop/contrib/mrunit/ ->
incubator/mrunit/trunk/ with full history. Turns out I have enough karma to
do so.

I'm trying to now figure out how to deal with the whole git / svn dichotomy.
Open to helpful tips on what others do here. Do people just use git-svn?
