[jira] Commented: (OPENJPA-1864) MaxDB support

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OPENJPA-1864?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12928253#action_12928253 ]

Michael Dick commented on OPENJPA-1864:
---------------------------------------

I've added the dictionary and fixed the problem with auto detection. If you could give me the JDBC driver classname, and the version of the driver and database that you've used I'll update the manual. Otherwise it looks a bit bare, but at least it's mentioned.

> Actually MaxDB is not officially supported.
> setting oracle in the persistence.xml
> <property name="openjpa.jdbc.DBDictionary" value="oracle"/>
> seems to work in some cases, but adding a specific MaxDB dictionary would be great.
