Nodes at startup

I have Slide set up so that it's file content store is pointing to a
directory that already exists. There are some files in there that I
would like Slide to know about at startup time. How do I set up the
Domain.xml so that it will know about these files? I guess I will
have to add objectnodes but I haven't had any luck yet.
