[jira] [Commented] (FELIX-4934) Only log failures for consistently
failing bundles
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-4934?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15081340#comment-15081340 ]
Raymond Augé commented on FELIX-4934:
-------------------------------------
No that is not correct! This only limits the errors within a single "iteration" of the directory scanner.
To be more clear, the limit only applies to a single batch by the directory watcher. If the bundle fails again on a subsequent iteration it will still be reported.

> Key: FELIX-4934
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-4934
> Project: Felix
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: File Install
> Affects Versions: fileinstall-3.5.0
> Environment: All
> Reporter: Raymond Augé
>
> Fileinstall logs failures at WARN even if the failure is an early attempt for which the dependency might already exist in the scan directories.
> However, it's beneficial to get failure logs for the legitimate cases were dependencies are really missing.
