> When running large clusters, the oldlogs (HLogs) directory can get quite large, and simply doing an ls on it, can take quite a bit of time while putting unnecessary pressure on the namenode.
> A simple fix for this is to divide the oldlogs directory into multiple subdirectories. Each subdirectory in oldlogs is simply the HLog filename without the sequence number.
