[~jasobrown]: [~iamaleksey] can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the comment was not intended to suggest we actually rolled back the patch, but as a juxtaposition to the other unreasonable "workaround" suggested by [~snazy]

I have to agree that it's uncool to commit a patch without making any time to fix the problems it introduces for other contributors.
