syscall was used in
{{hadoop-common/src/main/native/src/org/apache/hadoop/crypto/random/OpensslSecureRandom.c}}
{{hadoop-common/src/main/native/src/org/apache/hadoop/io/nativeio/NativeIO.c}}
OpensslSecureRandom.c has been fixed in HADOOP-11638. It has Solaris specific code.
NativeIO.c still has syscall.
Are you referring to these two files?
