Moving to Subversion...

Hi All,

I am looking after a couple of open source projects that are currently
hosted in SourceForge (http://mantisbt.sf.net <http://mantisbt.sf.net/>
and http://webnotes.sf.net <http://webnotes.sf.net/> ). As you all know
SF uses CVS rather than Subversion. What I wanted to do is to move to
Subversion and I am assuming this is possible through Tigris. I can
certainly see several projects in their that are hosted on subversion,
and I saw an article stating that Collab.NET will integrate Subversion,
but it doesn't seem to be up yet. Any idea when this will be possible?
(if not already possible!)

What are the options at the moment for hosting of open source projects
on Subversion?

Thanks for your help.

Victor

Tigris.org doesn't offer svn hosting to the universe. It offers it only
to projects that are directly related to svn itself.

SourceForge says they're "evaluating" Subversion, but gives no date for
rollout. Berlios.de, however, is offering Subversion now. Check them out.

I have also seen
<https://opensvn.csie.org/>
recommended on this list, perhaps the Subversion project page should have a list
of these sites?

Tigris.org does not yet offer Subversion integration. For select
projects, I (and my CollabNet Chicago co-workers) have been offering
to host and maintain Subversion repositories for tigris.org projects
on svn.collab.net. Hit me privately once your tigris.org project has
been approved, and we'll talk about hooking you up with a Subversion
repository.

I do recall seeing an announcement not that long ago about someone (in
Europe, IIRC) offering Subversion repository hosting. Sorry I can't
provide an archive reference.
