[jira] [Created] (HDDS-5554) Provide an option to disable checksum verification on container files on startup.

Aswin Shakil Balasubramanian created HDDS-5554:
--------------------------------------------------

Summary: Provide an option to disable checksum verification on container files on startup.
                 Key: HDDS-5554
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDDS-5554
             Project: Apache Ozone
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Aswin Shakil Balasubramanian
            Assignee: Aswin Shakil Balasubramanian

In at least a couple of Ozone deployments, there are cases where containers become UNHEALTHY due to corner cases / bugs. To correct a state of a valid, yet UNHEALTHY containers one has to edit the .container file. However, due to the checksum validation, the container loading in DN fails.

Adding an option to skip checksum validation on startup will help.

*Note* : We have to make sure the container scanner does not make the same container UNHEALTHY when it runs as well.
