[jira] [Updated] (SPARK-12408) Spark 1.6 with tachyon 0.8.2 uses deprecated client

Sean Owen updated SPARK-12408:
------------------------------
    Priority: Minor (was: Major)

[~calvin] yeah I had the same question. The Tachyon updates tend to introduce a number of deprecation warnings, and into the core of Spark. Is there a need to do that? if not, then these updates should probably update the API calls to not leave deprecated calls around.

I'm not sure it's a JIRA yet, but I think there's also a notion to remove Tachyon from core anyway. At least segregating it elsewhere makes this less of an issue.

Anyway, I suspect it's fine if you want to try to update this.

> The future release of spark, 1.6 uses the deprecated TachyonFS API, imho this should be avoided, I don't know if this should fall on the spark backlog or tachyon but this is up to you.
