[jira] [Created] (QPID-7586) [Java Broker] [AMQP 1.0] Simplify the
AMQP codec so that it always assumes that the buffer it is writing into is
large enough
Rob Godfrey created QPID-7586:
---------------------------------
Summary: [Java Broker] [AMQP 1.0] Simplify the AMQP codec so that it always assumes that the buffer it is writing into is large enough
Key: QPID-7586
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-7586
Project: Qpid
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Java Broker
Reporter: Rob Godfrey
The way the codec is used, we always allocate enough space for the entire value to be written. We can simplify the codec by separating the operation to get the required buffer size from the implementation of writing to the buffer
