   I no longer know where this branch came from. The intention was just to share very small set of work. However, the number and variety of warnings which are not deprecation warnings is quite large in the class and project. Imo fixing them should probably occur once after a strict checkstyle and PMD setup is put in place which either NetBeans specialists can configure with the current build system or anyone after migrating to Maven (in case there're any plans). It's a separate issue/unit of work to be discussed (probably not here).
