BadTargetObjectURI

I have successfully configured - at least I think - SOAP 2.1. I am using
Tomcat 3.2.1, Xerces 1.2.3. I have successfully listed, deployed, and
undeployed via the admin site. I am now testing my own application
HelloWorld. I created a class helloWorld to be the server. Delpoyed the
target as urn:demo:helloWorld. I created a simple client helloWorldClient
that uses rpcrouter to call a method that retrieves a string. However I get
an error everytime I run the client.

Fault = SOAP-ENV:Server.BadTargetObjectURI, Unable to resolve target object:
helloWorld.

Can anyone give me an idea to what I might be doing wrong. Thanks in
advance.

It is the classpath error.
The class file that implements your service is not in the classpath of
the server.

Try this... I can't remember exactly how I solved this, but I think it was
similar to the following

I am assuming your client/server code is correct.

Check the classpath of the tomcat server includes the directory that your
deployed server (helloWorld) is located in.

Then (i assume you are testing this using: java helloWorldClient) make sure
that the directory where the client is is included in the
java classpath ie

java -cp c:\lib\xerces.jar;etc..etc..;c:\folder_where_client_is
helloWorldClient

Also if your client is in a package, make sure you include the full package
name when you deploy the service.

ie com.foo.helloWorld

I had this problem using Weblogic, I assume it is similar in Tomcat..
