While you're at it, you could make a similar fix on this page:
http://db.apache.org/derby/manuals/dita.html
It mentions Ant 1.6.2! And JDK 1.4.2 ... You could just change it to "any supported JDK version".
I have to admit I'm still using Ant 1.8.2.
Sadly, we're still stuck with ancient DITA.
