Certainly not, I did reboot after that.
I added and removed 'enablesendfile off' several times and each time a reboot
was needed before it took effect.
It seems to influence some windows library initialization routine.

This should really be in the documentation and httpd.conf, I find a lot of
people on the web complaining about pictures being mishandled by Apache 2.0 on XP.
