[jira] [Created] (LOG4J2-2408) AsyncLoggerContextSelector with
ThrowableProxy uses incorrect CCL
Carter Kozak created LOG4J2-2408:
------------------------------------
Summary: AsyncLoggerContextSelector with ThrowableProxy uses incorrect CCL
Key: LOG4J2-2408
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4J2-2408
Project: Log4j 2
Issue Type: Task
Components: Core
Reporter: Carter Kozak
Assignee: Carter Kozak
When using AsyncLoggerContextSelector, ThrowableProxy objects do not use the correct context classloader to look up extended stack trace info. The ThrowableProxy instance should be created on the application thread rather than the background thread.
Additionally, the stack trace collected in the ThrowableProxy constructor is unhelpful unless it is loaded where the throwable was caught/logged.
